Are you an experienced CMF Designer passionate about creating meaningful product experiences through colour, materials and finishes?

We are looking for a Senior Colour, Materials & Finishes (CMF) Designer for an exciting six-month consultant assignment with a leading global organisation in Stockholm.

You will join an international design environment and work closely with designers, engineers, suppliers and other stakeholders to shape the CMF expression of both current and future product portfolios. This is a role for someone who enjoys combining hands-on design work with strategic thinking – and who knows how to take a CMF vision all the way from early concept to industrialised product.

The assignment

As Senior CMF Designer, you will take ownership of CMF execution across several product development projects.

Your work will include:

Leading CMF delivery across multiple product development projects

Developing colour, material and finish palettes and design systems

Contributing to CMF strategies for different brands and product categories

Translating design concepts into solutions that can be successfully industrialised

Collaborating closely with engineering teams, suppliers and manufacturing partners

Defining and maintaining standards for textures, finishes and graphic specifications

Creating strong visualisations, presentations and design narratives

Communicating and influencing CMF direction across different functions and stakeholders

Contributing to the continuous development of CMF processes, tools and ways of working

Who are we looking for?

We believe you have:

A degree in Industrial Design or a related design discipline

5+ years of professional CMF experience, preferably from a global or industry-leading organisation

Strong knowledge of materials, finishes and manufacturing processes

Experience taking CMF concepts through the full product development process

Proficiency in relevant 2D and 3D design and visualisation tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite and KeyShot

The ability to present ideas, build compelling design stories and clearly communicate design intent

Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills

A high level of self-leadership and the ability to take ownership of your projects

Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Flexibility to travel when required to work with suppliers and manufacturing sites

You are curious, collaborative and comfortable working in an international environment where several projects may be running in parallel.
